Artwork worth a closer look

Untitled (Plaid Pantry) — Paintings by David Rosenak are on display on the 3rd floor at the Portland Art Museum. These photo real oil paintings are in black and white (the artist is color blind).

The intricately painted small works were completed with his hands shaking with tremors.

Figures in the paintings hold ambiguous poses often central in the painting staring directly back at the viewer as if the painted figure was aware that you were looking at them!
